The UK support group management team met in Birmingham recently. There was much discussion about the future development of the group and the ways that we hope to raise awareness about Mastocytosis. There have been a number of changes in the team recently, and we thought you might like to see a photo taken at the meeting. Here it is!!!
For those new to the group who want to put a name to a face, l to r (back row)- Irene (Team Leader), Caron (Group Support), Beth (Group Support) l to r (front row) - Kerry (Group Support), Hilary (Group Support), Roger (Website, Publicity), Elizabeth (Secretary) and Jason (Treasurer). Prescription Charges - can mount up if you're on lots of medications. Systemic Mastocytosis is classified as one of the myeloproliferative diseases. This term is usually applied to the various cancers, but DON'T PANIC!! Mastocytosis sufferers usually manage their symptoms with appropriate medication, and live a normal lifespan. The good news is that you may qualify for free prescriptions. You will need form FP92A, and send it with an accompanying letter to your GP. A sample text is given here.
